Application instructions

1.0 Eligibility.
Students must be seniors graduating in the 2008-2009 school year who attend school in the Omaha Metro area and were honored as Rotary Honor Roll Students in the academic year ending in June of 2005.

2.0 Application deadline
Complete applications must be received by the Rotary Club of Omaha office no later than 5:00PM CST on February 4th, 2009. All applications received after that time will not be processed. Complete applications consist of this form and a reference letter from a teacher or facility member.

3.0 Guidelines for filling out the application
All applications must be limited to the space provided. In some of the list questions (such as question 1.0), you can enter a maximum of 10 responses. If you have more than 10 answers, choose those that best describe you as a person and student, as well as your commitment to the community in which you live. Any alterations of the application form will cause the applicant to be ineligible for consideration and hand-written applications will not be eligible for consideration. Incomplete, modified, or late applications will not be considered without exception. Semi-finalist will be notified by March 18th, 2009 will be required to submit the attached certification of cumulative GPA and ACT score by March 31, 2009.

4.0 Electronic Applications
All applications are to be submitted on-line. Please go to http://www.omaharotary.com/scholarship and follow the instructions to register and complete an on-line application. You can update and edit as often as you want prior to the application submission date. The certification form for your cumulative GPA and ACT score, required for semi-finalists, is available to view on this website also.

5.0 Notification Dates
Those applicants chosen to be semi-finalists will be notified of their selection by March 18th. Notification and requests for the certification of GPA and ACT scores will be sent to your school by the Rotary Club.

Interviews of the semi-finalists, submitting GPA and ACT certification by March 27th, 2009 will take place the week of March 30th, 2009.

Presentation of scholarships will be made at the Honor Roll Luncheon on Wednesday, April 29, 2009.
