Application instructions

1.0 Eligibility.
Students must be seniors graduating in the 2007-2008 school year who attend school in the Omaha Metro area and were honored as Rotary Honor Roll Students in the academic year ending in June of 2004.

2.0 Application deadline
Complete applications must be returned to the Rotary office address listed above no later than 5:00PM CST on February 6th, 2008. All applications received after that time will not be processed. Complete applications consist of this form, a reference letter from a teacher or facility member.

3.0 Guidelines for filling out the application
All applications must be limited to the space provided. In some of the list questions (such as question 1.0) there are a limited number of entries provided. If you have more answers then space available, choose those that fit the space available that best describe you as a person and student, as well as your commitment to the community in which you live. Any alterations of the application form will cause the applicant to be ineligible for consideration and hand-written applications will not be eligible for consideration. Incomplete, modified, or late applications will not be considered without exception. Semi-finalist will be notified by March 21st, 2008 will be required to submit the attached certification of cumulative GPA and ACT score by March 31, 2008.

4.0 Electronic Applications
All applications are to be submitted on-line. Please go to http://www.omaharotary.com/scholarship and follow the instructions to register for and complete an on-line application. You can update and edit as often as you want prior to the application submission date. The certification form for your cumulative GPA and ACT score, required for semi-finalist, is available to view on this website also.

5.0 Notification Dates
Those applicants chosen to be semi-finalist will be notified of their selection by March 21st. Notification and requests for the certification of GPA and ACT scores will be sent to your school by the Rotary Club.

Interviews of the semi-finalists, submitting GPA and ACT certification by March 31st, 2008 will take place the week of April 1st.

Presentation of scholarships will be made at the Honor Roll Luncheon on Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
